A thousand-year-old heritage of the oases of Morocco, the abandoned ksours and kasbahs are falling into disrepair and are in danger of disappearing forever. Aware of the historical, cultural and architectural value of these majestic buildings where several thousand people continue to live in a precarious situation, the UNDP, in partnership with the Ministry of Regional Planning, Urbanism, Housing and the City Policy, has been supporting efforts to preserve, enhance and revitalize this ancient habitat since 2015 as part of a pilot project that seeks to improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of ksours and kasbahs. , while preserving ancestral know-how in building matters.
