Built in the 13th century during the Almohad Dynasty, the Torres Al Kalaa fortress helped control navigation in the Mediterranean Sea and ensure trade and communications between Europe and North Africa. This project involves the conservation of the outer walls of the fortress, the installation of guardrails, lighting, signage, and other features to improve access to the site.
