The 2018-2024 investment program of the ANP, for a total amount of nearly 7.4 billion MAD
(€ 673 million), includes several types of investments including in particular
(i) reinforcement works
protection structures for commercial ports, integrating the impacts of climate change on
structures,
(ii) investments in the maintenance or protection of fishing ports,
(iii)
infrastructure rehabilitation projects and sometimes extensions,
(iv) investments relating to
improving the integration of ports into their urban environment as well as
(v) the needs
safety and security equipment.
Through this funding, AFD aims to support the ANP in its maintenance policy
and maintenance of its port infrastructures, and improvement of their integration into their
urban environment. It therefore concerns investments such as
(i) the reinforcement of
port protection works,
(ii) the rehabilitation of quays and platforms,
(iii)
the development of quays and embankments and
(iv) the creation of dry ports, both for ports
trade and fishing ports.
In addition to the loan, AFD will support the ANP, as a subsidy, on
(i) actions relating to
theme of "green ports", resulting from the CSR policy of the ANP,
(ii) and on the pursuit of
actions already initiated during the first loan.
