Known for being one of the main countries of emigration in the world, Morocco has also become, over the years, a land of transit and even reception of migrants.
To respond to this new situation, a National Immigration and Asylum Strategy (SNIA) aimed at "ensuring better integration of immigrants and better management of migratory flows within the framework of a coherent, global, humanist and responsible policy. Was adopted in 2013.
In order to support the implementation of this strategy, the Amuddu project is based on the assumption that the economic integration of migrants serves as a gateway and a catalyst for their general integration. It therefore chose to target the employability of migrants via the following three specific results:
Result 1: Access for migrants to existing vocational guidance and training systems is better ensured
Result 2: Migrants' access to support systems for (self-) employment and the job market is improved
Result 3: The joint action of structures working in the field of the economic integration of migrants is boosted and better coordinated
Improving the employability of migrants requires, on the one hand, an adaptation of their professional profile in order to better meet the needs of the labor market and, on the other hand, better access to existing measures to support economic integration.
Without strengthening partners and coordinating the actions of operators and stakeholders, this employability often remains hypothetical. This is why this intervention aims to adopt a holistic, targeted and integrated approach, a "mainstreaming" approach to migration.
